There was a petition in Scotland to ban (or licence? it's unclear) airguns in Scotlands - allegedly signed by 11,000 people.

Whats New Page which includes a link to the petition and a BASC press release.) Now - at 25/6/09 - there are 879 signatures on this petition - but it's early days yet.
As we all know airgun shooting is vital to our sport as it's the way most people get their first taste of shooting. If Scotland goes ahead with this scheme there will be great pressure for it to be adopted in the rest of the UK - that's obvious.
Let's hope all shooters (and their friends and families) sign the No 10 petition.
