Arrow Spambot Problem - Now Solved

Good afternoon everyone

The majority of web discussion boards, like this one, are often targetted by spambots. They can be the bain of every admin and moderator's life...being time consuming to catch and deal with. From reading through some of the threads here, it was very obvious that the spambot problem was proving more than a nuisance.

As of last night, Enrique has installed a spambot hunter-killer type software to this board. This means that anything that vaguely resembles a spambot will be stopped in its tracks during the registration process and disposed of. A few might still get through, but the numbers will be a fraction of before.

This means that our staff can concentrate on more enjoyable areas of their work.....like chasing everyone around the site and generally causing mayhem

If, by chance, you do spot a post that looks suspiciously like spam, please use the report triangle and it will be checked out and dealt with accordingly.

Thank you

Good morning Graham, nice to 'meet' you

I can't be a spambot, cos I got through the barbed wire fence....commonly known as the registration system....without a scratch
