What's your views on Get Carter, 1971, dir. Mike Hodges,Mona Lisa, 1986, co-wr/dir. Neil Jordan, and Sexy Beast, 2000, dir. Jonathan Glazer?

Get Carter was reasonable, but has acquired cult status because future attempts by the likes of Guy Ritchie have been so poor.

Mona Lisa - mediocre - Bob Hoskins - says it all. He always plays Bob Hoskins.

Never see the third.

Get Carter had achieve cult status long before Guy Ritchie came on the scene.

If you ever get a chance Sexy Beast is worth the time watching, for Ben Kingsleys performance alone.

Villain was spoiled by Richard Burton playing Richard Burton trying to be hard.

Performance was Mike Jagger at his appalling worst - surprised James Fox got involved - must have been money.

Ben Kingsley in the credits is enough for me to pray for the return of Bob Hoskins.
