Ah, well; in for a penny.....

The Lavender Hill Mob, Passport to Pimlico, the Titfield Thunderbolt, the Man in the White suit....ahhh, the great days of Ealing Comedy!

Later on, the Carry On fillms, and then.....Notting Hill!

What happened?

Thank you Gordon - I'm very interested. However, bank holiday commitments made well in advance beckon, and therefore, I must respectfully decline your kind offer.

Maybe next time?

No, of course they were'nt. What they were was a raunchy, raucous, innocent and refreshingly non-PC escapist diversion from burgeoning modernity. Can you imagine for one second films like that being commissioned today?

We live in different times.

Are you sure you're watching the same films as the rest of us Gordon?
