Savage F/TR problem

I just bought a savage F/TR .308. I brought it back from the range and while cleaning it noticed a large scratch (gouge) on the left bolt rail inside the chamber. could i have caused this or poor machining? should i be concerned the bolt seems to glide ok. Please let me know what you guys think.
