| Browning Cynergy anyone? I had a round of Skeet with a 30" m/c Sporting model at weekend. I didn't think I'd like it; I was wrong! Despite it's radical styling, it comes up lovely, has a neutral balance, swings fast but not "whippy" and the whole setup had a really quick and crisp feel to it.
My scores were in reality no better than with my Beretta, but I got the impression nonetheless that I could work with it and improve once familiar with the hugely different sight picture down the barrels.
I'm seriously considering buying one, but I wondered if anyone else had any experience of them? Are the barrels chromed? Are there any reliability issues with them?
I know Milo doesn't rate them, and I'm also not a fan of varnished stocks. The one I shot had nicely figured timber which certainly didn't look like pallet wood, and I could live with the varnish or take it off and oil it.
What do you think?

| My son loves them, I'm still not sure.
Whatever you do, dont get a plastic stocked one - I've seen the stock 'popping' out from the sides of the action on a couple as its quite flexible.
I shot one at Scone Palace and didnt do well at all, so I'm maybe jumping the gun a bit.
Theres a video on the Browning website but it appears to be down at the moment. I think theyre all chrome lined and steel proofed and 3" chambered with a 3.5 option if I recall. |

| I heard that they were generally quite high in the stock, more trap gun-like - have seen one or two about, but mainly the black uns (perhaps because they're cheaper) |

| Thanks for the comments guys. I had a look at the video on the Browning website yesterday, but it had English AND French dialogue running in tandem which made it pretty much unwatchable.
I would be going for old-fashioned timber over plastic, but thanks for the heads-up on the action problem anyway. I have read elsewhere that they tend to shoot high, but after my trial with one last week I was "on the money" in the vertical plane, and the clays I missed were either behind or even more bizzarely, in front.
Once again thanks for the input.

| Dave, hello and welcome, you may decide that your email as a user name will draw unwanted attention, anti's and the like, I'm sure MikeB will be more than helpful if you wish to change it |

| Welcome, Dave. I'm now in the Cynergy owners Club, and I love it!
BTW, I'm assuming your username = email address. If so, be prepared for plenty of spam coming your way - this site like many other forums is trawled by spammers and web-crawlers. If you'd like to change username in light of that, drop Wistow a PM asking him if he can do it.
ATB,
Mike.
