Question Armourers school/classes/courses.

I know this is probably a bit of a long shot, but does anybody know of any armourers courses in the UK or Europe? I'm not bothered for what type of firearms they are for, just would like to do a course. Also gunsmithing courses. I doubt Police Forces would train civilians if they asked nicely and paid would they?

Thanks for any help

Thumbs up Armourers courses

Hello, I once saw an advertisement from Westly Richard gunsmiths for a two week course for people with no experience.

Blimey, didn’t realise they did Gunsmithing courses. They are only 5 or 6 miles away from where I live. Wouldn’t mind nipping in there one day and asking.
An old gentleman I once new used to go there quite often as he knew many of the old faces in the gun trade. I remember his reminiscences about one of the gun makers regulating a 600 nitro express double rifle. He reckoned this gunsmith was only 7 stone wringing wet, and had to take a break after firing both barrels.

I looked at their website, no info about courses, I'll send them an email after, asking if they still do them. But after seeing the guns and calibres they play with, something tells me they might be out of my budget
