Shotgun Rod and Brush threads

In my continuing thirst for knowledge I have come up with a problem identifying the so called English Thread ( sometimes referred to as the Parker-Hale or PH thread) used for shotgun rods, mops and brushes.

In the US they use 5/16" x 27 pitch, but their mops are fractionally larger than the English one.

A 9/32" BSB x26 pitch ( British Standard Brass) nearly fits the English PH threaded mops, but does not tap in cleanly, implying that the PH is slightly different.

Anyone know the actual PH thread spec?

Jerry
