Can anyone recommend a good insurer to cover me for the theft of my shotguns when away from home as well as third party liability etc.

I found http://www.gun-insurance.co.uk/gunsure.cfm, but they seem a bit pricey!

My recent new house insurance gives me enough cover when the guns are away from home, unless they are stolen from an unoccupied vehicle. Then it only covers £1000 maximum and this limit cannot be altered by paying more premium.

My car insurance only covers £100 and I had to use this particular House insurer (Halifax) because we now run a small business from home and many policies don't cover this.

NFU are normally pretty friendly in this area, get them added to household contents cover is the best way. May want valuations if over 4K each though.

A
