Your account is protected with industry-standard security practices including bcrypt password hashing and secure session management.
You control what information is visible on your profile. Your email address is never displayed publicly and is never sold to third parties.
FFL dealers and professionals can apply for verified badges. Verification helps the community identify trusted members and legitimate businesses.
Our moderation team reviews flagged content and enforces community guidelines. We take illegal activity reports seriously and cooperate with law enforcement when required.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service. You can request account deletion at any time.
Every post, listing, and user profile has a Report button. Reports are reviewed by moderators and acted upon promptly.
Use a password that is at least 12 characters and unique to ShootingTalk. A password manager makes this easy.
ShootingTalk staff will never ask for your password. Do not share your login with anyone.
Be cautious of emails claiming to be from ShootingTalk. We will never ask you to click a link to verify your password.
If you notice unusual activity on your account, change your password immediately and contact support. You can also review your active sessions and login history in Account Settings.
Your ShootingTalk account is tied to your email. Keeping your email account secure protects your ShootingTalk account.
